Manchester United will be in the hat for Friday’s Europa League last-16 draw after completing their 4-0 aggregate win over Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur, however, will not be joining them. Mauricio Pochettino’s side could only draw 2-2 with KAA Gent at Wembley, thereby failing to overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit against the Belgian Pro League side.

Elsewhere, the likes of Roma and Olympique Lyonnais safely progressed after securing healthy first-leg leads, while Olympiakos, Schalke 04, Ajax, Besiktas and Anderlecht also went through.

Follow minute-by-minute updates from the draw on our live blog below...

When is the draw?

The draw takes place in Nyon on Friday 24 February, following the completion of the last-32 ties on Thursday.

What time is the draw?

Proceedings will begin at 12.00pm, with the draw following shortly after.

Where can I watch it?

It will be shown live on BT Sport 2.

If, however, you cannot watch the draw, you can follow it live on The Independent’s live blog.

How does it work?

The draw is unseeded and there will be no ‘country protection’, meaning teams from the same domestic league can be drawn against each other.

The team drawn first will play the first leg at home, with those drawn second away.

When will the Europa League round of 16 take place?

This year’s last-16 first legs will be played on Thursday 9 March, with the return legs on Thursday 16 March.

United had a relatively simple time of it against Saint-Etienne, scoring four without response over the two legs.

Here's five things our man Luke Brown (@lukedbrown) learnt from their second leg victory...

Tottenham, however, were woeful at Wembley once again.

Gent turned them over 3-2 on aggregate, the second finishing 2-2 on the night. Here's what Samuel Lovett (@samueljlovett) learnt...

Jack Pitt-Brooke was at Wembley last night, and he was not impressed with what he saw.

The question is, do this Spurs team care?

The ceremony has started.

Your boy Pedro Pinto will be our host for the draw.

There's just time for a quick re-cap of who's made it this far.

If you're without a TV and wondering, there's a nifty gallery at the top of this article which shows all 16 teams.

Everybody's favourite competitions director Giorgio Marchetti will be calling the lots.

Patrik Andersson, the former Blackburn Rovers and Bayern Munich defender, will be drawing the balls.

Fun fact, he's a scout on Football Manager 2017 and is happy to take a £50-a-week part-time job in the National League North.

Manchester United could potentially face old boy Memphis Depay.

He has no grudge with Jose Mourinho.
