Coronavirus: How has sport been affected?

Juventus midfielder Paulo Dybala and his girlfriend have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Argentina international announced the news on Saturday.

Dybala’s Juventus team-mates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi also tested positive for the disease this month, with Rugani being the first Serie A player found to have the virus.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted just to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive,” the 26-year-old wrote on Twitter.

“Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages.”

Juventus also released a statement, which read: “The player, in voluntary home isolation since 11 March, will continue to be monitored.

“He is well and asymptomatic.”

Coronavirus has brought European club football to a standstill, with Serie A matches in Italy suspended indefinitely alongside all other sporting events in the country.

The English Premier League, German Bundesliga and Ligue 1 in France have also been suspended as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This summer’s Euro 2020 international tournament has also been postponed until 2021.
