Manchester United are beset by injuries for tomorrow’s Champions League group game at home to PSV Eindhoven, with up to 10 players possibly out.

Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, James Wilson, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw all missed Saturday’s late win at Watford.

And the injury list grew in that game with Ander Herrera and Phil Jones limping off either side of half-time. Neither is expected to be fit to face PSV. Juan Mata also picked up a knock in the second half.

There is some hope that Rooney, Martial and Mata will be fit to face PSV, as United look to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages.

Valencia and Shaw are long-term absentees and will definitely miss PSV’s visit while Wilson picked up a knee injury in training on Friday but could return in time to be part of the squad to face Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday.

Carrick injured an ankle on England duty during the international break while Fellaini has not played since United’s Capital One Cup elimination by Middlesbrough on 28 October.

While Manchester City are set to be without David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Wilfried Bony and Samir Nasri through injury, that is nothing compared with the plight of tomorrow’s Champions League opponents Juventus.

Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra came off after 28 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Milan and will not play, with Sami Khedira, Hernanes and Martin Caceres also likely to miss out.

Hernanes, who reported discomfort in an adductor muscle, will undergo tests. Caceres is hampered by a thigh strain, while Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah have been ruled out. City are already through to the knockout rounds.
