Robert Millar has been denied the chance of a British record 13th ride in the Tour de France, which starts on Saturday, after the withdrawal of his French team, Le Groupement. The 36-year-old Scot, who won the British Championship on the Isle of Man last week, is contracted to the company, who have financial problems and consequently could not offer their support for the three-week event.
