In true Pakistan fashion the lifetime ban from the national team inflicted upon Younus Khan was lifted yesterday.

Younus was excluded from international action for indiscipline during the winter tour of Australia, but has now been included in the squad for the one-day series against South Africa, to be played in the UAE. He will replace Mohammad Yousuf, who himself had a lifetime ban lifted so he could face England during the summer, after he withdrew due to injury.

The Pakistan Cricket Board, meanwhile, has stopped Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir from using any of the Board's facilities, including training at the National Cricket Academy while they remain banned. The PCB said that the decision was taken under the ICC anti-corruption code.
