(First Edition) Alec Stewart, vice-captain of the England cricket team, shows his broken right index finger in Australia yesterday. He suffered the injury when he was hit by a rising delivery from Craig White during a practice match in Perth. Stewart is likely to be unable to play for a fortnight and will miss at least three matches.
