Birmingham Bullets and Greater London Leopards stayed on course last night for a Budweiser League title showdown, but with London Towers, Sheffield Sharks and Newcastle Eagles all still in the hunt.

Thirty points from Tony Dorsey led Bullets to a 93-77 victory at Crystal Palace, while 17 each from Eric Burks and Robert Youngblood steered Leopards to a 72-68 win at Chester Jets. Karl Brown top scored with 18 for Towers as they beat Manchester Giants 68-55 at Wembley. Towers were not sure of winning until Paul Deppisch's three-pointer opened a 59-48 lead.

Bullets and Leopards have 19 wins and five defeats, Towers 19 wins and seven defeats. Sheffield beat Derby Storm 86-69 on Friday and Watford Royals 106-82 on Saturday for 18 wins and six defeats. Newcastle, beaten 92-88 at Thames Valley Tigers on Saturday, have lost eight out of 25 games. Tigers outscored Leicester City Riders 9-4 in the final 90 seconds for an 88-82 win last night to stay sixth, but with games in hand on the leading clubs.
