A royal photographer reveals why it is difficult to get a good picture of Meghan Markle

Since the news of her engagement to Prince Harry, people all over the world have been eager for glimpses into the life of Meghan Markle, the soon-to-be-royal.

And the desire for photos of Markle has only increased due to the former actress' impeccable fashion sense and new status as a fashion icon.

However, one photographer has revealed that it is actually quite difficult to photograph Markle during public outings - for an incredibly adorable reason.

According to Shutterstock’s royal photographer Tim Rooke, who has photographed the royal family for over two decades, capturing the perfect shot of Ms Markle is not an easy task because she and Prince Harry are so in love.

Rooke told In Style: “Ms Markle and Prince Harry are very much in love, in fact, it’s hard for me to capture a picture of them each alone because they always either locked in each other's gazes or joined hands,” before continuing: “We like to get fashion shots of what she’s wearing on these occasions, but they are often hard to get because she’s always holding Harry’s hand, making it difficult to get the full fashion shot without cropping out her arm.”

Despite the difficulties the couple’s affection presents when it comes to capturing Markle’s outfits without cropping, their love for each other is obvious.

And, according to Rooke, their public affection is unmatched in the royal family.

He said: “I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to photograph Meghan yet. I’ve mostly only been able to capture her on big event pieces. That being said, I’ve not seen this much affection between two royals in my decades of shooting.

“Compared to Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, they are much more affectionate in public which could be attributed to the different pressures placed on William as the next-in-line to become king.”

Fortunately, Rooke, who Prince Harry affectionately calls "Rookie," will likely be able to capture some beautiful photos of the couple on their wedding day on Saturday May 19 2018.
