Manila - Jerry Velasco, a travel agent, was arrested after an attempt by more than 50 Filipinos, posing as their country's volleyball team for the Asian Games, tried to get into Japan.

He admitted designing bogus identification cards which nearly fooled immigration officials at Fukuoka Airport. But an alert official found the group did not meet the height requirement for volleyball players. The group was found to be carrying fake passports and all were immediately flown back to Manila.
