Trim in traffic cuts both ways
SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - A disc jockey who wanted to emulate President Bill Clinton by creating an hour-long traffic jam on the Bay Bridge while he got his hair cut has found his prank to be costly. In a stunt inspired by Mr Clinton's plane-stopping haircut on board Air Force One at Los Angeles International Airport last month, Erich Muller and his radio sidekick, Jesus (Chuy) Gomez, parked a van across several busy lanes on the bridge, and Mr Muller sat back for a trim.
One commuter has filed a dollars 4m ( pounds 2.7m) lawsuit against him, while others have complained that they missed flights and important appointments. Mr Muller was sentenced on Friday to three years' probation, 100 hours of community service and fined dollars 500.
