The man believed to have killed President Ranasinghe Premadasa of Sri Lanka insinuated himself into the leader's inner circle by supplying women to his valet, police said yesterday, Reuter reports from Colombo
'M P Mohideen was a friend of the assassin, who provided him wine and women. He had a weakness for both,' a senior policeman said. He said domestic and security staff had been negligent in allowing the killer to get close to the President.
