Russian cosmonaut joins American astronauts for historic flight
Sergei Krikalev, of Russia, leaves crew quarters at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, for the Discovery space shuttle, which had a perfect launch yesterday. He is the first Russian to fly on a US shuttle; he and five American astronauts are on an eight-day scientific mission.
