The economy of the South Pacific nation of the Solomon Islands is in chaos, the treasury is empty and debts exceed revenue, Reuter reports from Honiara. 'The country's treasury is empty and the government is living in a hand-to-mouth manner, paying bills when it gets some revenue,' said Andrew Nori, the new Finance Minister.
