Australia's sluggish economy has resulted in a shaErp fall in the number of people settling permanently in the counTHER write errortry, figures released yesterday show, Reuter reports from Canberra. A total of 45,252 people settled in Australia between July and December 1992, down from 58,397 a year earlier, the Bureau of Immigration Research said.
