Washington (Reuter) - A law firm hired by Libya to end a diplomatic stand-off over the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am flight over Lockerbie, Scotland, said it was pulling out because of negative reaction from the public and the government. The Washington office of the firm, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, is headed by Abraham Sofaer, the top legal adviser to the State Department during the Reagan administration.
