Foreigners shot in Algiers
A Russian embassy employee and a senior Algerian foreign ministry official were killed in separate incidents yesterday, AFP reports from Algiers. Konstantin Kukushkin, 41, was found shot in an embassy car at Saoula, south of the capital. Belkacem Touati, deputy director of the African department at the Foreign Ministry, was shot dead outside his home in an Algiers suburb. Thirty-two foreigners have been killed in the country in the past six months.
