Three puppies found in a tar pit in Spain; two rescued, one dead - video
Police investigate into who threw three puppies in a tar pit in Murcia, Spain
The trapped puppies were discovered by a family who had gone for a walk in the countryside. One of the animals, which had swallowed petrol, died of its injuries.
Watch the footage below to view the damage endured by the surviving puppies. In the last ten seconds, the video shows the puppies fully cleaned.
The five-month old puppies are a cross between Ibizan hounds and greyhounds, which are often used as hunting animals.
A volunteer from the dog rescue centre has reportedly said “tests done on the two survivors show their kidneys and liver are okay at the moment but the outcome is unpredictable”.
