Cancer baby dies
ROME (Reuter) - The baby son of an Italian woman who refused life-saving cancer treatment to protect the child before birth has died after surviving just 10 days. Stefano Ardenghi suffered heart failure on Thursday night in hospital in Bergamo. His mother, Carla Levati Ardenghi, had refused to have an abortion or undergo chemotherapy during her pregnancy. She died on 25 January, eight hours after giving birth.
