Black wedding
Westlife star weds his atomic kitten – and keeps out the cameras
The traditional wedding picture of bride, groom and family was replaced by a black screen yesterday as Bryan McFadden, a singer in the Irish group Westlife, married Kerry Katona, formerly of the Liverpool girl band Atomic Kitten, at a church in Rathfeigh, Co Meath, Ireland.
According to reports, the pair signed a six-figure deal with Hello! for exclusive photographic rights.
That meant tight security around the tiny Irish village. The lane leading to the church was sealed off, guests were ordered not to take pictures and many were searched entering the church.
McFadden met Katona when she was still a member of Atomic Kitten. She left the group in favour of family life and gave birth to the couple's first baby in September.
