Dance hall deaths
Up to 20 Argentine teenagers were burnt to death and more than 20 were injured in a fire at a dance hall during an end-of-term dance, AFP reports from Buenos Aires.
Rescue workers sifted through the remains of the building watched by weeping relatives of the victims, amid fears that more bodies might be trapped beneath the rubble. The fire apparently started when someone tossed a lighted firework across the hall where about 1,000 students from a Buenos Aires college were celebrating the holidays.
