Bus passengers engage in excruciating four-minute silent standoff over window

A man and a woman engaged in a four-minute silent battle over whether to have the window open or closed on a bus in Russia.

Both commuters were determined to win the voiceless argument during which the window was open and closed several times.

The video starts with the man, who is sitting towards the rear of the bus, sliding the window open. This provokes the reaction of the woman in front of him, who immediately shuts it closed again.

The scene is repeated over and over again, without either of the passengers uttering a single word or acknowledging the existence of the other.

The mobile phone footage was filmed in the city of Nizhny Novgorod in West Russia.

It’s unclear who prevailed in the end, but the video has amused thousands of social media users.

One commented: “They both probably thought they were fighting a full revolutionary war in their heads.”
