Basque 'Tigress' brought to Paris
PARIS (Reuter) - A suspected Basque guerrilla known as 'the Tigress', linked by Spanish police to 23 killings, was brought to Paris yesterday to be held on remand.
Maria Idoia Lopez Riano and her French companion, Olivier Lamotte, were arrested on Thursday in Aix-en-Provence, south-east France. She appeared before an anti-terrorism judge, and was ordered held in the French capital during an investigation and possible trial over offences in France.
