Video: Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard hit with salami sandwich at Canberra school
It's the second time this month that the PM has fallen victim to a projectile sandwich at a school
Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard became the target of yet another sandwich, after a student hurled the lunch time snack at her during a school visit in Canberra.
Luckily, the salami sandwich narrowly missed Gillard and grazed her elbow, as she shook hands with pupils in a crowded corridor at Lyneham High School.
Earlier this month a vegemite sandwich was lobbed at Gillard by a teenager when as she greeted students at a different school.
In response to the most recent incident the Australian Premier jokingly said: "They must have thought I was hungry".
