A vast flotilla of yachts gathers in the Italian port of Trieste for the annual Barcolana regatta over the weekend.

The Coppa d’Autunno is one of the world’s biggest sailing events, attracting hundreds of boats every year. The race began in 1969 and is always held on the second Sunday in October.
