"This is the mainland's first confirmed case of type A H1N1 flu," the official Xinhua news agency said, citing the Health Ministry.
Over the weekend, a Mexican traveller confirmed as the Chinese territory of Hong Kong's first and only case of the new strain was released from hospital.
