Algerians slay 'fundamentalists'
PARIS - Algerian security forces killed 54 presumed Muslim fundamentalists in three days up to Friday, while militants killed a journalist and public prosecutor at the weekend. The Algerian news agency APS said yesterday most of the 54 armed 'terrorists' were killed in Algiers suburbs, in Blida, 30 miles south of Algiers, and in Skikda, Sidi Bel Abbes, Relizane, Tlemcen, Medea and Tipaza.
