Chess ace Adams loses to computer
The British grandmaster Michael Adams has fallen at the first hurdlein his attemptto beat the most powerful chess computer in the world. Adams, ranked seventh in the world, lost his game against "Hydra" at Wembley Conference Centre in London after 33 moves. It was the first in a six-match event.
Adams, 33, said: "I'm a little disappointed. But when you're playing a machine with the immense power of Hydra you really have to play the perfect game."
Hydra can process 200 million moves a second.
