Law: Training monopoly to end
The bar is to open up the profession by ending the monopoly of training long held by the Inns of Court School of Law, with other academic institutions receiving validation for the provision of vocational training to would-be barristers. The measure is one of a number of education reforms agreed in principle at the weekend by the Bar Council, for detailed discussion later.
