Jury out in stab case

The jury trying a man accused of attempting to murder a policewoman who was stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver is continuing its deliberations at Preston Crown Court today. Although jurors failed to arrive at a verdict on the charge of attempting to murder PC Leslie Harrison, they found Stephen Doyle, 29, of Liverpool, guilty of attempting to wound four police officers and a taxi driver.
