Six Irish journalists were fined between IR pounds 400 (pounds 372) and IR pounds 600 (pounds 560) by the Dublin District Court for publishing transcripts of illegally tapped mobile phone calls made by John Bruton, leader of the opposition Fine Gael Party, last September.
