There's nothing less festive than an electronic card email late on Christmas Eve.
Traditionalists take heart though; to stop the technological rot the Royal Mail has released a series of 18 historic posters from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. They were beautifully illustrated by some of the period's top graphic designers and artists, such as Graham Sutherland, as part of the "Post Early for Christmas" campaign, but sadly aren't for sale.
The Royal Mail is missing a trick here though, Trending thinks. Who wouldn't want to receive one of these beauties in the post this year? And think of all those lovely postal surcharges they get out of it. Everybody wins.
