Father charged with family murders

GRAHAM ALDERTON, 29, was charged last night with the murder of his three children, Charlotte, 4, Amy, 3, and Dean, 1, who died in a fire at their home in Peterlee, Co Durham, in February. He was also charged with the attempted murder of their mother.
