Exercise classes 'safe for new mothers'
WOMEN who go to exercise classes six to eight weeks after giving birth may increase the protein levels in their breast milk, say researchers.
A team from the Department of Nutrition, University of California, could find no reason why women should not take moderate daily aerobic exercise while they are lactating.
Writing in the New England Journal of Medicine the researchers say aerobic exercise is safe even for previously sedentary women, but they should not expect exercise alone to help them to lose weight.
