20 years for man in KLM plot
The mastermind behind a plot to steal up to pounds 40m from the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines warehouse at Heathrow was jailed for 20 years. Peter White, 35, aimed to force a supervisor to co-operate by kidnapping his wife and daughter.
The crime was 'to rival any robbery that has ever taken place', the Old Bailey was told. White, of Heston, and his accomplice Carl Harrison, 30, of Hounslow, both west London, admitted conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to kidnap and firearms offences. Harrison was jailed for 16 years.
