BUCKINGHAM PALACE

28 March: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception this evening at Buckingham Palace for the winners of The Queen's Award for Export, Technology and Environmental Achievement in 1993.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, addressed a Luncheon Meeting of the Rotary Club of London at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London W1.

Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis was in attendance.

By command of The Queen, the Viscount Long (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Bulgaria and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

28 March: The Princess Royal, Patron, Northern Lighthouse Board, this morning visited MV Pharos and attended a Luncheon with the Commissioners, Leith Harbour, Leith, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the City of Edinburgh (Mr Norman Irons, the Right Hon the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Animal Diseases Research Association, this afternoon visited Moredun Research Institute, 408 Gilmerton Road, Edinburgh.

Mrs Charles Ritchie was in attendance.

ST JAMES'S PALACE

28 March: The Prince of Wales, Patron, English Chamber Orchestra and Music Society, this evening attended a Concert and Dinner at St James's

Palace.

YORK HOUSE

28 March: The Duke of Kent, Vice-Chairman, the British Overseas Trade Board, this morning left RAF Northolt for Germany.

Mr Nicolas Adamson was in attendance.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The King's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards / The King's Regiment.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Queen holds an investiture. The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, attends receptions for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at St James's Palace. The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, Prince of Wales's Institute of Architecture, visits Ripon to support a project concerned with the regeneration of the city; and visits Slingsby Aviation, Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire. The Princess Royal, Patron, International Health Exchange, attends the Annual General Meeting, Royal College of Nursing, London W1; and as President, Animal Health Trust, attends the Industry Committee City Luncheon at Kleinwort Benson Limited, London EC3. Princess Margaret, President, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, visits the Cleveland and Durham Child Protection Team at the Amos Hilton Family Centre, Middlesbrough, Cleveland. The Duchess of Kent opens the London Fire Brigade's Training Centre, London SE1.

The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open between 10am and 5pm.
