The University of Westminster has a few places left on its free 15-week course 'Professional Updating for Women' aimed at professional women who want to return to work after a career break of at least a year. The course includes advice with job applications, cv writing and interview techniques; and an introduction to word processing and computing. Each course member is allocated a personal tutor who will guide and help with recent developments in the course member's professional field. There is also a two-week placement in a relevant organisation for each course member. Classes are held from 10am to 3pm to accommodate family responsibilities; there is a break for summer holidays. Applicants should have a degree and/or equivalent professional qualification and must have had professional working experience before stopping work.
