Babies in Prison has recently been formed to improve the lives of children, from birth to 18 months old, living with their mothers in prison. It provides materials, educational toys and early-learning equipment, articles which women in prison often find difficult to afford. While in prison the mother is responsible for the well-being of her child and without such equipment her baby can be doubly deprived of essential early-learning experiences at a crucial age.

Babies in Prison, 43 Mill Lane, Wateringbury, Maidstone, Kent ME18 5PE, telephone 0622 814619.
