No verdict in match-fixing case
The jury hearing match-fixing allegations against three soccer stars was last night sent home after failing to reach verdicts.
Former Liverpool and Southampton goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar, 39, the former Aston Villa and Wimbledon striker John Fashanu, 34, the former Wimbledon keeper Hans Segers, 35, and Malaysian businessman Heng Suan Lim, 31, deny conspiring to give and accept corrupt payments to influence or attempt to influence the outcome of football matches. The case continues.
