Murdoch marries again - so which page did you expect us to put it on?

BILLIONAIRE mogul Rupert Murdoch tied the knot on his private love boat off Manhattan on Friday night with his tasty Chinese dish Wendy Deng, writes Ruth Morris.

Alas, there were no tabloid hacks to send off the owner of the Sun in such inimitable style as he set sail for his third marriage yesterday in what was meant to be a private ceremony on his racing yacht Morning Glory.

Exclusive revelations on the wedding were absent from Mr Murdoch's worldwide stable of newspapers and his network of Fox TV stations. The 82 guests were simply invited to a "party" and only realised they were at a wedding when New York judge Jacqueline Silbermann arrived to conduct the ceremony.

Mr Murdoch, 68, was marrying Miss Deng, a television executive from Hong Kong, just two weeks after his divorce became final.

His 32-year-long marriage to second wife Anna was actually one year older than his new bride, who until recently worked for his Star TV network. The couple split last year and recently reached a settlement described as "amicable".

Among the guests were his son Lachlan, who earlier this year married Australian supermodel Sarah O' Hare. It is not clear who was best man, but junk bond king Michael Milken was on board, as was Russian entrepreneur Boris Berezovsky.

Music for the ceremony was provided by a string quartet playing Mozart and three songs from Welsh singing prodigy Charlotte Church, 13.

In as much as Mr Murdoch, who also owns the 20th Century Fox film studios, remains in any one place for long, the couple will live in New York.
