FBI Director James Comey: Expect more Russian meddling in 2018 and 2020 elections
FBI Director James Comey says he expects more Russian meddling in America's 2018 and 2020 elections.
Speaking before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Mr Comey said: "I think one of the lessons the Russians may have drawn from this is that this works. And so as I said a month or so ago, I expect to see them back in 2018, and especially in 2020.
When asked about what the FBI is doing to prepare for this, Mr Comey said that an enormous portion of the bureau's counterintelligence and cyber divisions focuses on "making sure that we do everything we can to understand how the bad guys might come at us."
The FBI is currently investigating Russian meddling in the presidential election and whether President Donald Trump's campaign was involved.
