UTILITIES and miners led the way as share indices across the continent closed at fresh two-and-a-half-year highs. But the drug maker Roche sank - down 4.7 per cent - after disappointing results. Roche's fall dragged the Zurich SMI index down 0.1 per cent. But the Paris Cac rose 0.3 per cent and Frankfurt's Dax 0.4 per cent.
