Thames Water chief gets pounds 310,000
BILL ALEXANDER, chief executive of Thames Water, has received a 20 per cent increase in his salary this year, to pounds 310,000. The company said the rise was justified by changes in the board structure. The executive chairman, Sir Robert Clarke, has been succeeded by a non-executive chairman, Roger Carr, who will receive fees of pounds 100,000. Last year Mr Alexander's pay, including bonuses, was pounds 297,000, and he also has share options showing a paper profit of pounds 436,000.
