Shoe shuffle

C&J CLARK, the family-controlled shoes company, is moving to find a successor to Walter Dixon, the chairman. Mr Dixon has agreed to take early retirement following defeat last month by dissident family shareholders over board proposals to be taken over by Berisford International.
