Shell seeks partner for Canadian gas exploration

Oil giant Shell is seeking a joint-venture partner for its Nikanassin gas play in the Chinook deep basin in Canada.

TD Securities has been hired to run bidding to take a 25-to-50 per cent stake expected to fetch several hundred million dollars. Western Canada is undergoing a gas deal and development boom as modern technology reaches tucked away reserves.
