Ravi Manchanda
Ravi Manchanda, the Singaporean businessman appealing against two decisions of the Financial Services Authority, has told The Independent in response to an article (31 May) that his dealings with the regulator have no connection with his job as finance director of AEC Education. The headline of the article referred to "disciplinary" action but the text made it clear that these enforcement decisions might relate either to a breach of regulatory rules or a refusal of an application for FSA authorisation. Since parties to such proceedings are prevented by law from disclosing details it has not been confirmed whether the decisions relating to Mr Manchanda are disciplinary or not.
