Blaze death charge

A security guard was sent for trial accused of killing the firefighter Fleur Lombard, 21, who died in a supermarket blaze in Bristol in February. Martin Cody, 20, made no plea at the city's Crown Court to charges of manslaughter and arson with intent to endanger life. Ms Lombard was Britain's first wo- man firefighter to die on duty.
