A woman attempting a yoga pose on a log that was resting over a river was in for the shock of her life when she accidentally fell in the water.

When Chisa Tolbertson set herself up to display her yoga prowess in the woods, she wasn’t expecting to lose her balance.

The fateful moment was caught on camera. Just as Tolbertson was preparing to demonstrate a backbend pose she slipped, causing her to tumble into the depths below.

Tolbertson originally posted the video in May, but it’s since resurfaced thanks to a thread on Reddit.

Some Reddit users have even put forward suggestions for alternative yoga pose names.

One coined the term “Modified boat pose,” while another put forward “Downward doggie paddle” as a suggestion.

Tolbertson’s lucky that she only suffered minor injuries from her fall. However, she’s admitted that she hasn’t told her parents about the incident.

She tweeted: “Is it bad that I’m not gonna tell my parents about going viral unless they find out and ask me about it.”

Tolberton’s also reassured concerned followers that she would never attempt to perform such a feat on her own again.

When one man commented that his daughter had watched the video and worried about Tolbertson’s wellbeing, she replied: “hahaha aww tell her I’m A-ok and never to go out hiking in the woods alone...or at least to never venture out over water while in said woods alone.”

All’s well that ends well.

Since the video’s reappearance online, Tolbertson shared a photo of herself performing yoga in the woods, stating: “For the record I’m alive and I got a redemption picture with said river.

If Tolbertson takes anything away from this experience, hopefully it’ll be to tread with caution when practising yoga on slippery surfaces.
