Set in a fictional Chicago-style city called New Temperance during Prohibition in the 1920s, Gangsters: Organised Crime casts you as the Boss in a world of extortion, intimidation and murder. The latest release from Hothouse Creations, the game is published by Eidos Interactive and is available in PC CD-Rom format priced pounds 39.99.

Players start with a small amount of capital and have to build up their businesses through protection rackets, prostitution, illegal liquor and gambling using bribes, making alliances and eliminating enemies in a bid to become the most powerful "family" in a city where you can control up to 100 gangsters and 5,000 animated characters await you.

Gangsters combines man-management, business management and real-time interaction to create a highly original strategy game.

To mark its release, The Information has 25 copies of the game up for grabs. For a chance to win one, send your name, address and phone number on a postcard to: Gangsters comp, Parkes Print, 86 East Ave, Hayes, Middx UB3 2HR by 19 Dec. The first cards pulled from the hat after that date will receive a copy of the game. Usual Independent Newspapers rules apply.
