E-mail us your favourite holiday photo - it can be any style or subject you choose, including landscape, portrait, abstract or lifestyle - whatever says most about your holiday.

Simply send in your snap and photographic writer Terry Hope will critique the entries on this website, just as he did travel writer Cathy Packe's photos, explaining what's good about the picture and how it might have been improved. Once your photos and Terry's comments have been displayed online, a winner and a runner-up will be announced.

So, if you've already been away this summer, get sorting through your holiday snaps and, if not, snap away - with winning in mind!

Employees and their immediate families of Kodak Limited and Independent News and Media Ltd ('The Independent') and their associated agencies are not eligible to enter. Prizes will be delivered by 11/09/06. The first prize winner and one runner-up will be the best holiday photographs as chosen by Terry Hope (the judge of the competition) on behalf of The Independent. The editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Independent reserves the right to publish the surname and county of the winner, the winner may be required to take part in publicity. By entering the competition you hereby agree to assign the copyright and any other intellectual property rights in any winning entry to The Independent/Kodak Limited and, for the avoidance of doubt, hereby grant The Independent/Kodak the rights to reproduce such entries in any media format for any purposes they wish and to grant or licence such rights to any third party to do the same.
