The royal family has wished Princess Beatrice a happy birthday with a throwback post on social media.
On Saturday 8 August, Princess Beatrice celebrated her 32nd birthday.
To mark the occasion, the official Twitter and Instagram accounts for the royal family shared celebratory posts, featuring a photograph of the royal with her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II .
In the caption, it states that the picture was taken during a Maundy Thursday service at York Minster.
It shows Princess Beatrice and the Queen smiling at one another as the former holds a bouquet of flowers.
“Wishing Princess Beatrice a very Happy Birthday! Her Royal Highness is The Queen’s 5th grandchild” the message reads.
Her mother, Sarah Ferguson , the Duchess of York, also shared a birthday message for her daughter, describing her as “my dearest Beatrice”.
“8.8.88 at 8.18pm was one of the greatest and most proud moments of my life,” she wrote on Twitter and Instagram.
“You are unique and simply one of the most special people on this planet. Your ever loving and devoted Mum.”
Princess Beatrice is ninth-in-line to the throne, ahead of her sister, Princess Eugenie, and following her father, the Duke of York.
On Friday 17 July, Princess Beatrice married property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony at All Saints Chapel in Windsor.
The couple had originally intended to wed on Friday 29 May, but their nuptials was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Princess Beatrice wore a vintage gown that she borrowed from the Queen for her wedding, an ivory gown designed by British couturier Normal Hartnell.
The Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly and bridal designer Stewart Parvin worked with the princess to remodel the dress to fit her.
The monarch wore the same gown in 1962 while attending the premiere of Lawrence of Arabia in London and in 1967 during the State Opening of Parliament.
The bouquet that Princess Beatrice carried on her wedding day upheld a 162-year-old royal tradition , as it contained sprigs of myrtle.
Sprigs of myrtle have been included in royal bridal bouquets since the wedding of Princess Victoria, the eldest child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, to Prince Frederick of Prussia in 1858.
